While doing my project on homelessness i have learned that it's not easy for some one to be homeless, if it's hard for them, it would be even harder on me, because saying i don't have anything to call my own, not having a roof that'll keep me warm from the cold and rain, i wouldn't have food therefor i think it would be hard. I think this issue can be solved as it's said in the interview (if time is spent trying to help others in need). Overall this project has made me think about appreciating what i have and not to waste it.
So i finally got to post my video.
Well here it is, interview with COH.
so far i have these interview question's.
(person who has stayed in shelter)
1. Can you tell us what your situation was?
2. Where did or how did you find help?
3. How did you feel in there?
4. How did they help you?
5. What did the organization provide? example: food.
6. Did this help you recover, if so how?
7. would you recommend this to any one who needs help?
(organization worker)
1. What is the name of the organization, and what does it do?
2. Does the organization provide a shelter and food?
3. What is your position in this organization?
4. What do you do?
5. How do you feel about helping the homeless?
6. How can people in need of help contact you?
7. Do you think this issue will ever end?
Today i researched some more on homeless organization's and i will be calling C.O.H Coalition on Homelessness to see if i can interview one of the workers to give me a little background on what they do to help the homeless. If i don't get to interview one of them i will be hoping to interview one of my friends which was one in a shelter home.
Besides all of that i will try to have some photos, if i have a chance to go out and capture some images, i would like to visit some of the city's parks or any place around the neighborhood. Meanwhile i will come up with questions for the interview.
These are some of the organization's i found that help homeless and elderly people and family's who are in need of a shelter.

My name is Guadalupe Paredes,my name is Mexican and i got named after the Virgen de Guadalupe. I am 16 year old, born and raised in San Francisco California and very proud of that. My family is Mexican, so obviously i come from a huge family (lol) even though my family only consist of two children, me being the youngest. I believe my family arrived to the U.S in the late 1980's. I know some of my family members have spanish blood in them, but i consider myself Chicana (Mexican-American)and i am very proud of that too :). I live in a district which may seem dangerous at times but ether way i still love it. I attend John O'Connell High school, on my way to be a senior. My native language is Spanish, but i also speak English and a little bit of French.
I love music i can't go a day without listening to my iPod or the sterio, i could listen to anything as long as it has a good beat to it :). Some of the types i listen to are Chicano rap (top of my list), Oldies from the 60's, Latin, hip hop, rap, some rock, I listen to these type's of music because i brought up with those types.
I really don't like to read but some of the books that I've read and found interesting were "Always Running" by Jose L. Rodriguez, i liked this book because some of the event's that happened in his story are happening right now, "Women Hollering Creek" by Sandra Cisneros, my last year english class read some of the story's and they were really good, "Sista Hood on the Mic" by E. Fierce is a special book to me because the author came to our school and i won it and the story is great.
These are some of the movies i grew up watching, and now that i am older i can understand their story's, I like them because the character's life's are similar to some of the people i know and it shows you what most Chicanos/as go through every day.
Some of the t.v stations i like to watch are MTV, VH1 because they are music channels. I also Like to watch soap operas on channel 14 Canal Univision. When i play games online i like to got to http://www.candystand.com/index.do, but i rarely play games. My favorite website i would have to say www.myspace.com because that's hoe i keep in touch with my friends. Another website is http://www.youtube.com/.
I don't play any sport's any more but my favorite is Volley Ball, i sometimes watch soccer well only when I'm with my family.
I also like to write poems (lyrics), take pictures and draw when i can, i just find it the easiest way to express myself.
I don't have anything favorite thing to do because i like to do a lot of things, but i like spending family and friend time a lot. I love to use the phone specially text, even though my mother hates it lol.
If i had a chance to travel anywhere i would like to go to Latin America, Brazil, Europe, China.
Some of the things i worry about are losing people i care about, the world's environment as of global warming. What makes me mad are, political issues; laws that kick out immigrants and what also makes me mad is how people make the dumbest choices for this country.
My hobby is drawing since i do find it a way to relieve some stress.
The heroes in my life are my mother Juana Mercado because she is the one who brought me to life and she is the strongest woman i know, she has worked and work's a lot to be in the position where we have enough to pay our bills and bring food o the table, my other hero is my grandmother because she has been their for me since day one.
When i finish high school i would like to continue my education to become a probation officer or a counselor.
Here is a video of me showing you some of the thing's about what i wrote above.
I thought this video was good and it made sense to me, they made their message real clear.
Today i edited my video on my lunch, after that me and my classmates joined two of KQED's workers to teach us how to use a device which is story telling while we walk through the area. We walked around the theater, around the corner of 17st and that was the best part for me because i liked when they were talking about the murals. Then we walked by where the flea market that was on 18st and florida, and we heard people talking about their buys and stuff like that. Over all i thought it was a wonderful idea to visualize the audio in person.
Your video is great! Thank you for sharing your room with the rest of us. And also the bits and... read more
